About Me

My name is Liana Meyer, a writer, researcher, and communications strategist building Opaline Outpost: a home for lore, memory, questions, and the strange signals that connect them.

About the Project

Opaline Outpost is a story-world, resource hub, and community built around a speculative novel in progress and the ideas orbiting it: memory, technology, aging, lore, and the signals people leave behind.

What began as research for a book became something larger — a place to gather curious threads, connect with other people following interesting questions, and make room for the kinds of stories, references, and opportunities that usually live in separate corners of the internet.

At the center of the outpost are four paths:

The Book — the evolving world of my sci-fi novel in progress.

The Hub — a public directory of publications, sites, blogs, newsletters, podcasts, YouTube channels, and other resources worth discovering.

The Community — a space for readers, creators, and emerging platforms to connect, exchange ideas, and find one another.

The Zine — a newsletter with curated roundups of opportunities, including calls for pitches, guest spots, collaborations, and other beacons from around the outpost.

Opaline Outpost is for curious people who like following a question wherever it leads — readers, researchers, creators, and anyone drawn to stories, systems, and strange little signals. It is part archive, part dispatch, part invitation.

Right now, the Hub, Zine, and Community are all free to access. If paid tiers or premium features are added in the future, founding members will keep free access to the features that exist today.
